Week Four Check In/ Week Five Goals

Link up your progress from Week Four and your goals for Week Five here. How did it go? Does spring make it easier to reach our weight loss goals? Does it change your exercise routines? Try setting a goal for week five that will really make you have to reach out of your comfort zone, and share why this is a challenging goal for you. Are you pushing yourself to exhaustion, or are you just uncomfortable?

As for this week's mini-challenge, so few people participated in last week's that I want to recycle it. So the mini-challenge stands, it's still about paying it forward, and you can find it in the previous post (use that linkup for the mini-challenge post). I think more than 6 people are able to pay it forward!!

Week 4 mini-challenge!

Week 4's challenge is going to be slightly ....different. Hope you like it!

One good deed might not seem like much, but if everyone did something good for someone else, then the cycle of generosity and kindness can spark us to become better people.

Are you thinking - how does this relate to weight loss? Well, doesn't it relate to everything we do? Kindness, compassion, caring - it's certainly not going to hinder weight loss. Paying it forward helps not only the ones we are doing it to/for, but helps us feel good about ourselves. Be creative. Paying it forward can be tied to someone else's weight loss, and in the next step thus help you in progressing on your own - or even together. Everything is tied together. We're not just fat people trying to get thin, we are people. People who are a part of something bigger than ourselves. Have you ever felt obsessed about the scale, your food, the "regime"? This is a way to lift our eyes. Shape the challenge however you see fit, but make sure to pay it forward.

Write a post about your thoughts on this of challenge, and how you have paid it forward!

Week 3 mini-challenge!

This week's mini challenge is about support, and the accountability we can find in a great support system. Being a part of a challenge means both offering and receiving support. Thus, this week's challenge is to visit all the other participants in the challenge! When you've done this, or at least started, write a post sharing some of the posts and/or blogs that stood out to you, or any thoughts you had while doing your rounds. Link up using the linky (will be added shortly, there are some technical difficulties with the linky at the moment). :)

Sounds daunting? It might be, but this is what it's all about. We strongly encourage those of you that use word verification on your blog to consider turning it off. With so many participants it slows down the visiting pace terribly. :-)

Week Two Check In/ Week Three Goals

How was Week Two?
I hope that everyone is having/has had a wonderful easter!

I have been making an effort to stop off at a lot of your blogs each week, but we have so many challengers, it would take days. (I am excited we have so many challengers!!) So, this week's mini challenge is going to be a little different, and.. it actually won't show up on this blog until Wednesday. So, make sure to check back for it then.

Here's some exercise motivation for you this week-

So, I am ready to see everyone's goals for Week Three!

Remember, set up a post about last week, if you met your goals, how it went, and be sure to tell us your goals for next week! :)
If you need an example, go here..

Week One Check In/ Week Two Goals

Hi, there! :)

How was your first week? Did you meet your goals? Did you fall short of some?
If you did, don't worry, it is all a part of the process.

Please create your post with how week one went, how your mini challenge went, and your new goals for week two. Then, come back here and add your link to the linky below.
For an example of what to post, feel free to view my post at Sarah Is Getting Fit

Also, the mini challenge for Week Two:
Do a workout that you don't normally do, mix it up!
It is important to keep your body guessing, so having a large arsenal of calorie burning activities can be very helpful during weight loss. This can even help you avoid plateaus!

Good luck this week!

Challenge Week One! (link up)

Welcome to Week One of the Ready for Summer Challenge!
To start the challenge off, we want to encourage everyone to break your larger challenge goals down into bite-sized goals each week.
For example, if your goal is to lose 15 pounds over the whole challenge, your weight goal for week one might be to lose a pound and a half. :)

We will have a link up every Sunday for you to link to your blog post, including a check in for the previous week and your goals for the next one.

Remember, you can pick and choose the goals you want for the challenge, you can use some of them, one of them, or all of them. It's totally up to you, but we have four goal categories:

Weight Loss Goal
Non Scale Victory Goal
Nutrition Goal
Fitness/Exercise Goal

Each week, we will also have a mini challenge that you can participate in if you'd like.

Week One's Mini Challenge is to try a new vegetable, fruit, or other healthy dish of your choice, that you've never had before.

Feel free to get creative! Let us know what you tried at the end of the week!

A good site to get new recipes from is SkinnyTaste.com

So, below you can link up your goals for Week One!
For a better example of what to post about, feel free to check out mine and Maren's posts. :)
